H1N1 FLU VACCINES
Additional H1N1 Vaccines Arrive at Solantic
Solantic centers throughout Florida are continuing to dispense the H1N1 vaccine with the arrival of more injections and mists. The CDC is encouraging those at highest risk from flu complications to seek and receive the H1N1 vaccine as recommend by your physician.
Know The Facts:
The CDC has encouraged the following target groups to be vaccinated first:
- Pregnant women
- People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
- Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
- Persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old
- People between the ages of 25 through 64 years of age that have compromised immune systems or chronic health disorders
Furthermore, the CDC recommends the remaining population take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of H1N1 through vaccinations and proper containment of germs as outlined by your local health department. Vaccination against H1N1 should continue throughout the influenza season, into January and beyond. Flu seasons can last as late as April or May.
